Typically you'll need between 4 and 6 times the amount of wool for the size of the project.

Factors that affect the amount of wool you need:

• How high you hook
• How tightly loops are packed
• How much waste there is (long tails that are cut off)
• The length of the strips
• Complexity of the pattern (lots of detail and colors will use more wool).
